Virtual Workshop, 27 March 2020 12h. CET Moderated by @antoniocarlosruizsoria
The coronavirus is first a human tragedy affecting thousands of people. It is also having a growing impact on the global economy and our societies. The scale and speed of this impact is without precedents (in industries such as tourism, creative sectors, to cite a couple of examples). Although different scenarios can be predicted: from a quick recovery to a deep recession, most likely we will not return to a ‘business as usual scenario’. Many of the behavioural changes may stick in the post COVID-19 world, such as a wave of automation of tasks and working remotely, increasing the need for new economics and business models for value-generation growth and social inclusion.
This workshop is an invitation to experts, business leaders, policy makers, civil organizations and other stakeholders to actively share their experience and perspectives on economics and business scenarios post COVID-19. The conclusions of the virtual workshop will be published on Economia Creativa website, free to download by the end of March.
The virtual workshop will be moderated by Antonio Carlos Ruiz Soria, director of Economia Creativa.

The event was also a great opportunity to showcase how digital is transforming our societies and economies, and how it can help bring positive change to our lives. It was co-organised by the European Commission and the Romanian Presidency of the Council of the European Union.
With a full agenda of engaging plenary sessions, parallel workshops and high-level panels the Digital Assembly covered a wide range of current key topics on digital policy.
